A collage of travelogue-like snapshots appear and disappear to the beat in this three-way split-screen music video, directed and shot by Sandeep Mohan for the song ‘Momo Kha’ by renowned Tibetan rock band JJI Exile Brothers.
The song is an ode to the humble ‘momo,’ a type of dumpling popular in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and North-east India.
From the soundtrack of the independent feature film ‘Love, Wrinkle-Free’.
This quirky indie dramedy tells the intersecting stories of three characters in a dysfunctional family in Goa – dad, mom, and adopted daughter – and the complications arising out of their insecurities of old age, looks and body image.
The Tibetan connection in the story appears because the daughter, Ruth (played by Arika Silaichia) faces an identity crisis due to her North-east Indian facial features, and bonds with the family cook Tashi who is from Tibet.
