French auteur Pan Nalin’s “Faith Connections” tells overlapping stories of some colourful characters encountered during the Kumbh Mela, India’s biggest religious gathering, juxtaposing personal devotion and the vagaries of fate against a massive display of religious fervour. After a world premiere at TIFF 2014, it is currently enjoying theatrical runs across the globe.
