The opening title sequence for tv series MTV Sound Trippin’ Season 2, designed in collaboration with vfx artist Vijesh Rajan of Plexus.

A rough polyhedron is created out of nowhere, and darts off through a maze of mountains towards a cityscape. On its way it crosses faders and buttons and sheds its crust to reveal an energetic core which finally explodes in a burst of fireworks to the beat. We pull out to reveal the cityscape has transformed into an energetic sound wave. This is a simulation of the creative process of the creation of a song, from ideation, to refining, to the burst of inspiration, to mixing and mastering.

MTV Sound Trippin’ is a show where maverick Bollywood music producer Sneha Khanwalkar goes on a journey through the country to find undiscovered, mundane sounds and composes a song that captures the vibe of the region. Karsh Kale and DJ Nucleya continued the journey into Season 2.
