99 Songs is the first feature film produced and written by legendary Indian composer AR Rahman (Grammy- and Oscar-winning composer of Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire).

The film is directed by Vishwesh K and received a World Premiere at Busan International Film Festival (South Korea) in 2019.

It released in Indian theatres in 2020 to wide critical and audience acclaim.

The romantic drama/musical follows the journey of a young musician named Jay whose life centres around his two great loves: music and his girlfriend Sophie, who is a visual artist. When faced with a challenge – the ultimate question of whether music has any meaning at all, in today’s materialistic world – Jay must face a spiritual trial-by-fire in order to prove his worth and win his love back.

The film is currently available to stream on Netflix.
